1.1 DEFINITIONS
1.1.1 In these bylaws, the term "Club" shall mean the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club and/or its Agent or Agents to whom the application for berthing is made which may be one or more of its Associated Companies, Concessionaires, Tenants and Assignees for the operation (if any) of the Boat Repair Facilities, Brokerage, Rental or any other Marina Facility.
1.1.2 The term "RSYC Officials" shall mean the Club's RSYC Committee, Sub-committees' Members, General Manager and Managers.
1.1.3 The term "Vessel" shall include ship, yacht, boat and craft of any kind whether power driven or not.
1.1.4 The term "Marina" shall include the marina basin, pontoons, moorings, dry storage area or any other facility for berthing or storing a Vessel.
1.1.5 The term "Owner" shall include a Charterer, Master, or Agent or other person for the time being lawfully in charge (other than the Club) of the Vessel or vehicle.
1.1.6 The term "Premises" shall mean all that land including the slipway, jetties, quays, piers, pontoons adjoining the Club including the whole land and water area under the control of the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club and including all facilities thereon.
   
1.2 GENERAL
1.2.1 These bylaws should be applied in conjunction with the Club's Constitution.
1.2.2 These bylaws may only be rescinded, amended or added to by the RSYC Committee.
1.2.3 The RSYC Committee is the sole authority for the interpretation of the Bylaws, the decision of which is final and binding on all Members.
1.2.4 All categories of Members, guests and visitors are to abide by the RSYC Constitution and bylaws.
1.2.5 RSYC Officials are authorised to enforce these bylaws.
1.2.6 Any violation of these bylaws is considered to be prejudicial to the interests of the Club for which appropriate disciplinary action may be taken as provided for in the Club's constitution.
1.2.7 The Disciplinary Sub-committee is empowered to take disciplinary action against those Members, guests and visitors who violate the bylaws.
