5 HOUSE & BAR
   
5.1 GENERAL
5.1.1 DRESS CODE
 
5.1.1.1 For the purpose of describing the minimum dress code standard applicable in various areas of the Club Premises, the following definitions shall apply:
 
5.1.1.1.1 'Swimwear'; clothing specifically designed for swimming.
5.1.1.1.2 'Casual'; T-shirts, shorts, including slippers and singlets, but excluding swimwear.
5.1.1.1.3 'Informal'; T-shirts and shorts with footwear, excluding slippers, singlets and swimwear.
5.1.1.1.4 'Smart'; long trousers, collared shirts, dresses and skirts, with footwear, excluding T-shirts, shorts, slippers, singlets and swimwear.
   
5.1.1.2 All footwear, when worn, is to be dry and clean.
5.1.1.3 Members' and Guests' dress code shall conform to the following minimum standards or as determined by the RSYC Committee from time to time.
 
5.1.1.3.1 Pool and immediate surrounding area, Marina, boat launching and recovery area: Swimwear.
5.1.1.3.2 Foreshore and accommodation areas: Casual.
5.1.1.3.3 Bridge restaurant: Smart.
5.1.1.3.4 All other areas of the Premises: Informal.
   
5.1.2 AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY TO CLUB FACILITIES
 
5.1.2.1 No person below 18 years of age is allowed in the Jackpot Room or to play on the jackpot machines.
5.1.2.2 No person below 18 years of age is allowed in the Mess.
5.1.2.3 No person below 14 years of age is allowed in the Chart Room.
5.1.2.4 No person below the age of 18 is allowed in the Majong Rooms.
   
5.2 FOOD AND BEVERAGES
5.2.1 The Food & Beverage Manager shall be responsible for the running of all food & beverage outlets and operations. His duty is to plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the Food & Beverage Department.
5.2.2 The Club's F&B outlets will be open daily at such times and for such hours as may be determined by the RSYC Committee from time to time. The scheduled operating hours as published in the RSYC magazine of the various outlets is available at the various food and beverage outlets.
5.2.3 No Member shall on any occasion bring onto the RSYC Premises any beverages or food for consumption.
5.2.4 Prices of all food and beverages will be set at a rate approved by the RSYC Committee, which may be revised from time to time.
5.2.5 Normal restaurant and bar purchases of food, drinks, cigarettes, etc. are to be paid for either by credit card or signed on chits for billing purposes. Cash is strictly not allowed.
   
5.3 PRIVATE FUNCTIONS
5.3.1 The RSYC Committee may permit the Banquet Department to reserve for a private party any such part of the Club as they shall deem fit on the request of a Member and providing this does not contravene the RSYC Committee's guidelines for the equitable use of Club Premises such as they shall determine from time to time.
   
5.4 CAR PARKS
5.4.1 The limited car parking lots in the RSYC Premises are for Members and their guests only.
5.4.2 Cars shall only be parked in authorised parking areas.
5.4.3 On application by a Member and the payment of a deposit, Members will be issued with a car park disc that must be prominently displayed in the windscreen, allowing them free entry and parking.
5.4.4 Car park discs are not transferable.
5.4.5 Cars without discs will be charged for parking.
5.4.6 Members should park their cars in a proper manner without obstructing the free passage of other vehicles and should abide by any regulations that apply to the use of the car park generally.
5.4.7 Handicap car parking lots are strictly reserved for handicapped persons.
   
5.5 JACKPOT ROOM
5.5.1 GENERAL
 
5.5.1.1 The latest operating hours of the Jackpot room as published in the RSYC magazine are shown in the Schedule of Operating Hours available in the Clubhouse.
5.5.1.2 A Member or guest playing more than one machine must give up one of the machines to another Member or guest who wishes to play on it, irrespective of whether other machines are available.
5.5.1.3 No reservation of Jackpot machines is allowed.
5.5.1.4 A maximum of 10 minutes grace period may be given to players who need to leave the machines for urgent business. The supervising staff should be informed.
5.5.1.5 The Jackpot staff shall remove any leftover coins after the grace period to allow other players to use the machine.
5.5.1.6 In the event of a coin jam, players shall approach the Jackpot Staff for assistance. Players are prohibited from abusing Jackpot Machines e.g. by kicking, punching, etc.
5.5.1.7 The staff are authorised to shut down any machine when they deem necessary.
   
5.5.2 SIGN-IN PROCEDURE
 
5.5.2.1 Members known to the staff may be signed-in by staff indicating Name/Membership No. /Arrival Time and Departure Time.
5.5.2.2 Members not known to the staff will be requested to produce their Membership card before signing-in.
   
5.5.3 GUESTS
 
5.5.3.1 A Member can bring a maximum of two guests into the Jackpot room at any one time
5.5.3.2 Guests may be asked to leave the Jackpot Room by the supervising staff or an RSYC Official if their behaviour and conduct cause annoyance to other Members.
5.5.3.3 Domestic helpers, drivers and boatmen are not allowed in the Jackpot room.
   
5.5.4 TRANSACTIONS
 
5.5.4.1 All cash transactions shall be in Singapore currency. Other forms of payment, i.e. cheques, credit card shall be accepted at the discretion of the RSYC Committee.
5.5.4.2 Winnings in excess of 200 coins shall be claimed through the Jackpot Staff.
5.5.4.3 Payouts of $2000 or more shall be made by cheque within (3) working days.
   
5.6 SWIMMING POOL
5.6.1 The Swimming Pool will be open daily at such times and for such hours as may be determined by the RSYC Committee from time to time. The latest operating hours as published in the RSYC magazine are shown in the Schedule of Operating Hours available in the Clubhouse.
5.6.2 Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to use the pool except under direct supervision.
5.6.3 The RSYC Committee accepts no responsibility for any accident or injury, including fatality, to Members, Members' children, guests or their children arising out of use of the pool and associated facilities.
5.6.4 No smoking or partaking of refreshments is allowed in the water.
5.6.5 All swimmers are to ensure that all forms of lotion and oils are removed before entering the pool.
5.6.6 All swimmers must shower before entering the Swimming Pool. No Member, guest or child suffering from or in quarantine for any contagious or infectious disease shall be permitted to enter the Pool.
   
5.7 POOL TABLE(S)
5.7.1 Pool table(s) are strictly for the use by Members and their guests only.
5.7.2 Sitting or placing your full weight on the table in any manner is prohibited.
5.7.3 No objects (such as cigarettes, glasses, food or chalk other than those used in the game shall be placed on the pool table or the rails.
   
5.8 MAHJONG ROOM
5.8.1 At least one Member must be present in a Mahjong game.
5.8.2 All Guests must be signed in and Guest Fees paid before start of a game.
5.8.3 Failure to comply with these rules will result in a fine imposed on the Member.
5.8.4 Names of all players must be shown on the chit supplied before start of a Mahjong game.
5.8.5 Booking of Mahjong tables can be made by telephone or in person at the RSYC Reception.
5.8.6 Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of time of game will be charged.
   
5.9 TELEVISION LOUNGE
5.9.1 Occupants of the Television Lounge must refrain from loud discussion.
5.9.2 Children are not allowed to run about in the Television Lounge.
5.9.3 Standing or jumping on the sofa chairs is not allowed.
5.9.4 No food or drinks are allowed in the Television Lounge.
