POSITION: Pizzaiolo

 

SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION


The Pizzaiolo will prepare and/or direct the preparation of pizza and other appetizer and side items from the restaurant menu according to standard recipes. He/She will deal with special requests and dietary concerns, and must be sure to fill these orders properly. He/She will be responsible for maintaining standard quality of the food as well as consistency of the food. The Pizzaiolo will also produce large volumes of food in a short amount of time.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be responsible for pizza presentation, making sure it is ready for customer consumption 
  • To plate the dishes appropriately, placing it on display or packaging and wrapping the item appropriately for delivery
  • To be responsible for maintaining appropriate temperature and freshness of food
  • Guide employees on preparation of pizza according to recipe, and train them in all safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols.
  • To apply a basic recipe reading and measurement skills

 

TALENT PROFILE

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Able to work in a team and fast-paced environment
