Competent Crew Course
The Competent Crew Course is an introductory crew training course that teaches the basics of sailing onboard a sailing yacht. Upon successful completion of this course the sailors and participants will have sufficient knowledge and skills to be an able crew member on any sailing yacht. Suitable for both the complete beginner and those who have some experience of either dinghy sailing or cruising.

Specifically designed for first time sailors, this introduction to singled-handed dinghy sailing course covers basic sailing techniques, rope works, rigging and launching boats, capsize recovery and on-water safety tips.
Topper Sailing Course
Learn how to sail Topper in two days. Basic sailing techniques, boat handling, rope work and sailing theory are some topics covered. Course fee includes first month Saturdays' training sessions.

Basic Optimist Course
Learn how to sail the Optimist in two days. Basic sailing techniques, boat handling, rope work and sailing theory are some topics covered. Course fee includes first month Saturdays' afternoon training sessions.

Dinghy Practice
After completing the basic course, sailors are encouraged to continue sailing with the weekly Saturday training sessions.

Keelboat Shoot Out
Every last Saturday afternoon of the month, RSYC propose to members a fun and enjoyable sailing race and practice on our J24 Keelboat.
