The most popular and important festival in Chinese culture, Chinese New Year is celebrated on the new moon of the first month according to the lunar calendar, and it is a time for family reunions and delicious feasts. 


One of the more common meals to enjoy on Chinese New Year Eve is a hotpot meal, also known as “steamboat” in Singapore. So if you’re planning a trip down memory lane and catch-up with loved ones at a family reunion, do make your reservation early for this Reunion Steamboat Dinner Buffet at the Wharf.


Start with a “Lo Hei” prepared by our service staff followed by the “do-it-yourself” steamboat and hot plate buffet of prawns, squids, sliced beef along with a large selection of hot dishes. Steamboat will be served with Clear Chicken Soup.

Ren Ri, the seventh day of Chinese New Year means “Everybody’s Birthday” (also known as Birthday of Man, Day of Man, Day of Humanity or Everyman’s Birthday). In the early times, the Chinese based their forecast of their country’s condition for the year on the weather on this day. It is also believed that an ancient legendary Lady God Nu Wo created human beings and therefore, the seventh day is every human being’s birthday.
